Hi and thanks so much for returning to my blog. RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Another of those funny ” Water Cooler Moments ” at the job…
” Oh Kelly, he’s so nice to you…”
” Well that’s because when he needs something I don’t give him a hassle ”
” Listen MoMo, if I treated you in a nice way, you would think somethings wrong…we just don’t have that type of work relationship …after 17 years I’d think you’d be used to it…”
Laughter from all was heard…but maybe you had to be there…just maybe…

Morning.
Just a quick update to my earlier post here about that ” New Pill ” and the Placebo Effect…okay I am officially stating here that we are not looking at a placebo effect as the Neuropathy effects seem a hell of a lot less invasive now than just the short three days earlier ( even five days earlier if I go back to Saturday ) while the effects are still felt, they none the less have become less of an issue and I actually was able to take a ” short sprint ” up the stairs at my job yesterday…just was not happening a few days earlier…period.

Yesterday, I wound up with an appointment with my Doctor for my Neuropathy.
I won’t go into the long story here…I’ll probably explain what I spoke of with the doc at a later time, but I was prescribed a new drug ( new for me that is ) called Neurontin ( Oral ) and I guess the generic name for the drug is Gabapentin.
Neurontin Oral Uses
Gabapentin is used with other medications to help control seizures in adults and children (3 years of age and older). It is also used to relieve nerve pain associated with shingles (herpes zoster) infection in adults.

A nice conversation at the Coffee Machine…
” I have to go downstairs to get some Sugar ”
” Get out of my way…”
” There no Sugar in these drawers? ”
” No ”

That’s right!
2008 was Sue and my 26th year of wedded bliss together, and in May, we will begin 27 years.
And I have decided to share ( from the ) Domestic Guy side of this just how I have helped to keep us married together this long…I might even put out a ” Domestic Guy ” how to guide to staying married together foreever!
But that’ll be much later…maybe.
To coincide with this post, expect to see the much vaunted ” Maui Pictures ” to start appearing here within a few days.

Reality Television…Why do we get so involved in this stuff anyway?
It seems that everyone who’s able to ” pass some gas ” gets an idea for some reality television show, and all of a sudden..poof!
I’m subjected to that other person nonsense!
There are only a very select few series I tend to follow…

I was in my car the other day heading to work.
I turned on the CD player, and disc #2 started to do it’s thing, with the message flashing across the small screen letting me know that the disc was being read…and then came the opening chords to ” Rock and Roll Train ” from ACDC’s album ” Black Ice “.
And as the song was drawing to it’s inevitable conclusion, I plugged in my I-Pod ( God, I can’t believe just how much I love this thing! ) and I chose to play the one album that I have from a certain band called ” Thin LIzzy “, and the album was ” Live and Dangerous ” and it just brought back a flood of memories, and just as I found that one song that I had been looking for to play, I pulled into the parking lot at work, but stayed in the car till ” The Boys Are Back In Town ” finished playing it’s last notes, and the song started to fade from my consciousness.
And I had started to realize that here was another part of my life that through no fault of my own had altered, and changed, without my active participation.
In essence, this particular landscape had also changed, just like the first…and I had to reflect…

All in all this past weekend was pretty tough to deal with as my Neuropathy and my Stomach Distress pretty much ruled everything, along with a little stress yesterday with some added aggravation on top.
Isn’t that special.
The added extra aggravation was due to trying to download a tax program onto my laptop, and then trying to get it to work.
Needless to say, this did not turn out well for what ever reason and I wasted a lot of time dealing with that abortion.
I will take a different run at this later today, and try to keep the stress factor just a bit lower.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be starting a series of articles that will cover the last ” Eight Years ” of my life, as I feel that finally talking about everything that has come before as far as dealing with my parents and what happened with them and how all of that led to my episodes a few months ago, would be ” Theraputic ” for me at the very least, and will most assuredly make some interesting reading for you, my audience.
The Title of these posts will fall under the title ” My Life..Eight Years Of Living “.

Hi there.
A friend at the ” Job ” where I work at sent me an email the other day that I want to share…
Hey Lew,
I am sorry that I some how let this slip through the cracks of my days. I came across the email tonight and took the awesome time that your blog deserved. I really enjoyed the pieces on what happened to Middletown, i think you hit the nail on the head and many people can relate. I also enjoyed the information you gave on the Amazon Kindle, but you forgot to mention that you lost it like twice at work! I read several of your journal entries and felt in some small way that i was invading your privacy. Is that mostly a section for yourself? Others going through the same thing and even diabetic suffers can sympathize with your daily routine. I also hope that you don’t give up on your experiment all together. Though I don’t believe solely in a “mind over matter” philosophy, I do believe that positive thinking and a positive attitude will keep your soul healthy and your mind, heart and body will follow. You have intrigued me to learn more about your condition and even offer blogging of this nature as therapeutic. I look forward to keeping up with what your blogging!
I would like to point out that I encourage everyone to read my journal entries when I post something there…especially when I’m doing an experiment as I might write something there that I might not otherwise post on the regular blog pages here.
