Hi and thanks so much for returning to my blog. RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I sometimes check into what folks are searching for when they come to my blog, and I found an interesting search the other day.
It seems that someone was searching here for the term ” how to cure Churg-Strauss Syndrome ”
So I decided to do two things with this search term..
first I searched the term using Google and tried the ” I feel Lucky ” click and the result I came back with led me to the ” Churg Strauss Association ” home page and this was the content that was shown…
Before I start out on part two in this new series, I want you to take a look at the video below…this was taken almost two weeks ago on one of my worse days as far as my asthma condition was concerned….
Okay, now I want to explain right from the start that over the years I have been diagnosed with several different Asthma conditions…
As some of my audience is aware, my daughter Samantha has been having some issues for the past month now with her ” Blood Platelets ” count.
This started a few weeks back with a thirteen hour stay by myself, my wife and Samantha in the local hospital, Orange Regional Medical Center ( aptly named Horton Memorial Hospital ) on a Sunday evening.
I was texting about this little escapade from my Blackberry straight to Facebook, and of course my facebook family was nothing but supportive and I really want to thank all of them for that…unfortunately, our journey did not end with this one hospital visit..
Samantha has had two other hospital visits due to low blood platelet counts, and yesterday evening the incident happened again.
Today, Sam was finally diagnosed with a condition called ITP, which is short forIdiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
I think this blog is fairly new, and I am not sure just how often it is updated, but as I think that anyone who decides to write about vasculitis and all that it entails deserves our attention.
You might have noticed that when you type in the web address for the is blog, Lew Newmark: My Domestic Life.com, has a different web address..which is www.mlcss .com…check out the video below for a short explanation…
So, just what is in a name…well sometimes it can be everything.
A name can be important in a lot of respects dependant on what you are trying to accomplish with just what you are naming…I should explain just why this post has come up and what relevance it has to do with CSS or Vascular disease.
The reason for this series was to point out that even though you find yourself living with something that can ( and is ) life altering, it doesn’t mean that this ( or any ) disease has to be who and what you are…in other words, having a disease does not have to be a defining factor when it comes to who you are as a person.
The title of the story itself, just makes you want to just move past it and turn the page in your local newspaper ( or click the next link on your webpage ) , but as with lot’s of things…looks can be deceiving..here is a bit of the tale..from My Suburban Life.com..
When Jennifer Naida competed in Mrs. Illinois International last year and received first runner-up, it didn’t stop her from trying again this year.
Vasculitis is the inflammation of blood vessels, which sometimes can result in death. Naida was diagnosed with a form of the disease called Wegener’s granulomatosis in 1983. Symptoms include a fever, weakness and breathing problems.
Sometimes I have moments when I feel like I just do not have it in me to do the things that want to do to meet my goals when it comes to bringing awareness of Churg Strauss and other Vascular Diseases, but when I see what this one lady is able to accomplish through her drive and determination, I get inspired and driven..so let me just say that my friend from Facebook, Lynn Gordon Bryan Corwin is one of the main reasons that I am able to continue to do what I am doing now, and her efforts continue to fuel my efforts…let me show you a bit of what Lynn has been up to now…
Over the past few weeks, I have done a few posts about the Flu and Swine Flu Vaccines, and I just came across what I think is interesting reading and a very important piece of information concerning ” The Global Flu Pandemic ”
Here is a report chock full of facts about this issue written by Lorena Tonarelli and Chris Barber…
