And Winter Kills My Lungs!

Okay, a dramatic title to be sure, but none the less an accurate description of just what I have been feeling over the past two days.

As a big snow is waiting to hit the Tri-State area of New York, I actually started to feel the effects of the oncoming storm for most of yesterday and thus far most of today as my asthma has gone into full tilt with the shortness of breath, constant coughing and bringing up tons of mucous..isn’t that just pretty!

And I’m sure you noticed the two inhalers that I held in my hand in the preceding video, which of course are my Advair and Pro-Air inhalers.

I had actually been trying to hold off on having to get my Advair refilled, but with the weather and the cold being what it has been up here over the past few weeks, well, I just could not stave off having to get the refill any longer.

And I also have to admit that I find it just a bit unsettling just how quickly my condition and overall health have been changed in just a little more than a few days due to the colder temperatures also.

I have found myself coughing and sneezing a hell of a lot more than I would like to, and yesterday was the first time in seven ( that’s the #7 everyone ) weeks that I have had to come home from the job and use my ( mother’s ) nebulizer and have a treatment to control the onslaught upon my breathing capacity!

Anyway, while we’re talking here, tomorrow through Thursday ( Christmas Eve ) you will see several posts and video’s that should be spread though out, and of course a Christmas Message to everyone posted on Christmas Day.

Well, it’s time to go cough again and bring up some nice mucous from deep in my chest…hope you’ve already eaten, but if not my apologies for that last sentence.
